
Arkansas Student Leadership Academy
The Arkansas Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a Leadership Certificate Program for University of Arkansas Students. The Program takes a minimum of 2 years to complete and provides students with an in-depth exploration of leadership theory and practice. Students will begin the Student Leadership Academy with the Emerging Leaders Program during their Freshman or Sophomore year. Requirements include the Emerging Leaders Program, LeaderShape Catalyst Program, participation in a registered student organization, 10 hours of service per semester (40 total), small group facilitation training, a team leadership experience, a reflection project, coaching sessions, a skill building conference or retreat, and a cultural dialogue requirement.

Length of Program: The Arkansas Student Leadership Academy requires a minimum of two years, but may take 3 years to complete.
How to Apply: Students desiring to participate in the Student Leadership Academy may fill out an application available on our website and should schedule a meeting with a staff member for an application interview.
